I'm part of a group of local folk that are currently in the process of establishing a LEGAL WALL for area crews. This project was conceived, and continues to move forward, due to the efforts of individuals from the Dayton Daily News, EFX Coffeehouse, Montgomery County Juvenile Court, the Dayton Visual Arts Center (DVAC), Stiver's School for the Arts, and the Dayton Public Arts Commission. At this point, the Dayton Daily News has run a "Wall Call" in the paper (Graffiti artists need a place to create, Kathy Whyde Jesse), and a member of the community has come forward and donated the use of a really great wall. We are currently in the process of writing a proposal that will be presented to the Dayton Public Arts Commission, and then to the BZA (Board of Zoning Appeals).

We now have a meeting set up with the Public Arts Commission on 2/9/98.

The meeting with the Dayton Public Arts Commission was very productive. The Commission approved the concept for the Dayton Legal Wall Project. Thank you to all the commission members for their time and consideration.
