ahh..our day off. we slept until about 11 am, then we got all checked out and headed into downtown indy for some bagels before we got on our way to grand rapids. We had einstein overpriced but yummy bagels. hee. We followed matts car up to MI. It was really scary because dor was in EXTREME need of gas but matt just wasn't pulling over. we finally did. Gina had decided to give me bjork buns on the way up, so when we stopped for gas, i just had one in my hair and i looked like a freak.
the next hour or so was just gina giving me the buns. She wouldnt put all the bunnies next to each other because it was incestual. hahaha. the bunnies in my hair that is. On the drive up we kept seeing mullets and trullets and it was so cute cos emi and carolyn were in the car in front of us and we'd look at them and they'd be freaking out over them. haha. Anyhow, gina got to her goal, my hair was in bjork buns, but they gave me a mullet! bastards! dor has pictures of it, but i dont so there are noscans right now. hahaha. they made a point of stopping so i could model my mullet. its so fun to be laughed at. the random gas sation atm gave me $10s. it was weird. and tony found a little pamphlet for a dan quayle musem that was REALLY frightening.
on the way upt through indiana jason and i freaked out cos we passed through fairmount and it had a huge james dean painting on this barn. All i could picture was morrissey riding a tractor. hahaha. in lansing i talked to adam about it and he told me they have the brick that moz signed. heh.
anyhow i loved the drive up to michigan. it was so fucking gorgeous. it was almost spiritual. On the way up we passed the handel mobile and we all freaked out and honked like mad people at them and it was really amusing. haha.
the first thing we did when we got to michigan was stop at a rest area. thats when we stpped outside and realized it was finally getting cold. ew. but dude, i was so amazed at how beautiful this REST area was.
hi its a nasty ass rest area, and its like gorgeous ot me. anyhow, pee breaks, cigarette breaks. stuff. fun. kellie takes over driving, so dor can join in the party. we passsed through lansing on the way to grand rapids. it was like, "BURN EAST LANSING DOWN." heh. we also passed through climax michigan was exciting to say the last. jessen informed us that we only had a mile to reach it. "everyone, hands in your pants!" i wont share those pictures with you :p
when we got to the arena it was about 6:30 pm and there was a concert going on. we asked who it was and it was AEROSMITH! Rock on! we all decided that we wanted to go and try to get free tickets. hahaha. So we went and had a quick dinner at the olive garden and tried to get free tickets. we managed to get four, but gave one to a nice guy that actually wanted to go. hah. we all got ticket stubs to try and sneak in, and 9 people snuck in, but me and jessen stayed outside. im sucha pussy. 3 actually got to seethe show. the rest got kicked out. hah.
i could hear it all tho! i heard the armagedon song :p we all had hot cocoa in the fridays across the street which was totally yummy, and i took out my buns. i had really neat springy curls- kinda like the o nes alanis has in iron. they were fun. freaky looking tho. hah. After the aerosmith show we tried to get a motel room for a few hours but we all got kicked out cos we put like 13 ppl in one room so that was a futile effort. we went back to the arena and ended up parking and sleeping in the car. HELL i will tell you that
everyone laid down but i had to pee, so tony and i took off to the kinkos around the block. i went pee, and he stayed and worked on stuff. and i tried to sleep but william and dor were snoring. i was really uncomfortable, so i ended up sleeping on the floor of the minivan. picture that. my head was in the backseat, my body along the side, and my feet in the front seat. ouch.
