What an odd night. I just got home from vals, and i was over come with this wave of tiredness. Its 2 am now. I have to wake up at 8 and most likely stay up all day. Eek. It's so cold in here. Like the cold where my nose is chilly and runny. heh. It's winter. Woo! Val and i kept talking about feeling it in the air..the crisp cold air mixed with the smell of fireplaces. Tonight was the last boulder show and we kept thinking about it. It was..fuzzy.

I slept till 330. Went over to Val's at five. Jen was playing a show tonight. But tomorrow is the 10,000 Maniacs concert. I'm really excited for Valerie. She's pretty excited. And it's at the teeeeeeeeeny troubador where i saw that dog. play a long time ago. Heh. we'll be right up front. I think it will be fun. So we went shoping for gifts for the band today. First we walked Melrose and played in Wound and Wound..and i went nuts in Vinyl Fettish and Bleaker Bobs. There was a KILL UNCLE program and a WALL SIZE alma matters poster. I wanted them SO BAD. It was hard to just leave them. But then val wanted to go the the Beverly Center, so we had to walk that. heh. She wanted to go to this one store, and i forced her to buy something for Mary Ramsy there because i was tired of walking. heh. Oh and Val bought Lil' Kim! Hee. Oh my GOD that girl has a perverse album. I was like, embarassed to be listening to it. MAH VIRGIN EARS! heh. But i kinda liked the CD. I had made it my goal of the night to buy Spice World (even though i really can't afford it.) Hm.

So anyhow, then we go to Aron's where we lucky find nothing. Aron's is right by Highland Grounds where she was playing. We got there an hour before she was supposed to play. When i walked in the door i saw her. God she was pretty. She looked like..she was in shock. Her jaw literally dropped. I realized..god it must have been a shock to her. That i came alone? Without Nicky. Ya know. I didn't think it would mean so much to her. She came over and gave me this..bone crushing hug. She just like grabbed me and hugged me so tigh. Meanwhile, i did like what i did at stanleys. I was like "ahh she's touching me". I'm forgetting how to hug again. I kinda threw one arm around her and kinda hugged her. And then she just..kept hugging me..so i put the other arm around her and squeezed her..and my lips kinda touched her neck..and it reminded me of when we'd have those hugs after these huge emotioal strains and when we'd hug it was like we hung onto each other for dear life. It was akward.

Well the night was "women and their powertools" so i had to watch like 4 differnt guitar playing chicks. 3 songs per person. I got a little tired of the "women power" thing and scoffed at it a little bit. But Jen played your Jill which i like. And two new songs. She's improving highly. I was impressed. Hm. Then we left. and. ah. It's all so akward. La la she should write a song about me. ;D.

Pleh. Then we went to Mel's cos val has a crush on a waitress there. And we had this waiter that we've had a few times..and i decided that i have a crush on HIM. So mel's is the place of crushes :) Brr i'm cold.

OHhhhhhhhh. we stopped at towre so i could buy spice world. And they had free posters left! So i got two :) Yay! Shake it to the left. Heh. We wanted Green Tea Ice Cream but they didn't have any! ERuh™. So Val and i are planning on getting some tomorrow after the 10,000 show. So we randomly drove around for awhile..and by the troubador there are Verve ad's plastered all over. And a couple were hanging off (from the rain i suppose) and i just randomly say "i want one. stop" so val stops in the middle of the street, i run out and tear off a flat and a poster (a little torn and pretty gluey.) and i ran back int he car and we drove. It was just..very out of character for me to do smething like that. heh.

oh my GOD the tips of my fingers are cold. I should go. Eek! G'nite :)
