Saturday, March 13th.
hi guys! i got home a few hours ago from the manson/hole show. woooooooooooooooooooooow. i'd have to say that was one of the *best* shows ever. hole was decent. manson was absolutley...fabulous. he is one fucking hell of a performer. probably one of the best i'd ever experienced. and that was one hell of a show too. i was completley blown away. and for me to rave about a show where i was in the LAST row of an ARENA? that just doesn't happen. just. *faboo* in fact david and i are gonna try to go again tomorrow/today and try for somewhat better seats. it was a GA show too
that was my post. but i'll embelish a bit. first of all, it was a long day. we went to lensecrafters and all around santica monica before the show which was in OC. look. wanna see a picture of me? haha. ia ctually like it. valerie took it on her polaroid. can you tell its a polaroid? not really huh.
anyhow, we got to the pond about 6:30 or so. and to my delight, as well as davids, there were three protestors in front of the pond! we just LOVE them! hahahaha. we were stuck at a light and we were right next to them preaching. nicky got really frustrated with them and kept screaming "GOD DAMNIT ITS JUST MUSIC" and he was telling us how stupid we were. Yeah, insult us, we'll convert! hahahah. he kept saying we were worshiping a false god. yeah, i worship manson. ok. anyhow, heres a kick ass polaroid picture of him
i miss my work. i found old coworkers. it was nice. i bought the cherry hole shirt and we went up to our seats, the row behind us was the LAST row. all the way on the side. we wanted to leave for monster magnet because they were godawful and horrible, but it was such a steep grade up it scared us. hahaha. hole was..i dunno. they were good. courtney talked for a few minutes before every song. it was cool to watch from the side. during dying all this glitter shot out and we were all "ohhhhhhhh pretty" and she kept giving the audience crotch shots and tearing pieces of her beautiful dress off and handing it out to the audience. she gave away a guitar at the end to a chunky girl. she kept teling this girl she was too pretty, she had to give it to a big girl. hah. violet was the best, and first song. it was so odd to finally see hole. it made me cry. cos it was like seeing an old idol after all these years, and i almost missed being a fan, and i felt close to courtney again for a moment. her and eric came out at the end and did youve got to hide your love away before northern star which was really really cool. she was doing the "HEYS" all screaming and funny :]
and then manson time. it was neat, we could see them setting up cos we were so far on the side. we saw them straping manson to the big cross before the curtains went down. and we could see the room he changed in on the side, and the different backgrounds. it was SO GOOD. this is gonna sound corny but..ok..ive discussed with people "songs youd like to fuck" and mel always says she wnats to fuck cruel and stuff...and there was something about the energy and the angriness and the emotion and the power of the first 3 songs. it was..just this feeling ive never felt before. i kept thinking..wow this is a song i want to fuck. hahaha. just watching manson thrash himself back and forth to the beat of the music. WOW. it was fucking amazing.
i love madonna. he trashes his keyboard around so much i dont know how hes actually playing it. the speed of pain was cool cos it snowed all this white shit down allllllllll over the stage. during celebrity skin all this red stuff floated down. it was neat. anyhow back to manson, it was so cool. during mechanical animals he had on the awesome huge ass stilts which made nicky scream. hehehe. and god. the whoe thing was great. they had glitter shoot out during david said i think lunchbox, and he got shot in that song. haha. i forgot. but some guy shot him and they dragged him off stage like he was dead..and the cross burst into flames and burned after sweet dreams. and there was fireworks..and oh god...the best one..during i dont like the drugs there was a HUGE ass sign in the background that lit up and said DRUGS. it was so fucking awesome. ive never seen a powerful stage set up like that. i dont think ive ever seen anything so powerful really. i loved mansons butt flap outfit. he could just flip it down whenever he wnated to moon us or wack off or something. haha. he'd come up to the side ledges and face our side and then like rub the pole up and down and moon us and stuff. it was soo fun. wow. and this is from a girl that was sitting in the last row. it was SO GOOD. the best was antichrist. i love the "HEY" thing where you extend your arm in a salute and hes in the podium - nicky kept screaming when he did his puppet thing cos hes just floppiing around. and beautiful people was good..and apparently we got coma white which david said theyd only done like twice. but WOW. that was a fucking AWESOME show.
i cant even begin to capture the essence and engery that was in that arena. it was ...wow. id never experienced anything like that before in my life. it was so fucking intense. i loved it.....so onto day two. david and i liked it so much we wanted to go to the show at the forum the next day....
