Battle Zone

Many of you might wonder why the battle between Canibus
and LL Cool J took part a few months ago, and who won it?
Keep reading this text and you will be "The Expert."

The two met when LL was recording "Another Day, Another
Dollar" from the Phenomenon album. Canibus, admiring the
microphone tattoed on uncle Līs arm, asked Cool James if
he would mind if he got a tat like that.

Would LL feel like Canibus was biting him? According to Canibus,
LLīs friendly response was, "if you represent it, you can have it."
Things seemed all love, and LL even asked Canibus to rock on the song.
Along with Busta Rhymes, Canibus voiced a few ab- libs, his first
contribution on the Phenomenon album.

A month later Canibus recieved the request to bless "4,3,2,1" with
one of his vicious verses. With LL in L.A, Canibus arrived at the
Hit factory and recorded his verse, wich began, "Yo Method man,
where the gods at?/ Yo Redman, where the squad at?/ Yo L is that
an mic on your arm ? Lemme borrow that." Boom, that was all it took.

Canibus says he meant the mic remark as "a term of endearment...I
wouldnīt a got on a niggas record if I didnīt respect him."
Unfortunately, it was taken that way. LL laid a verse dissing
Canibus, but then promised to change it when Canibus told him that
he would rewrite his original rhyme. However L never changed his.

Now, Canibus has decided to that itīs time to "let the world know
the truth" with his debute single "Second round K.O," which features
guest vocals from Mike Tyson: "Now watch me rip the tat from your arm/
Kick you in the groin/ Stick you for your Vanguard award/ in front
your mom, your first, second and third born/ Make your wife get on the
horn, call minister Farrakhan."

Haven gotten his chance to respond to the Ladies Love, Canibus appears
to let it ride. "Now that I got that off my chest, Iīm trying to get
on with my life. I got a lot of other issues to talk about."

Canibus called "The Battle Cat" have been the most battling part of
the two, so you could say that he is the winner?
Canibus has also appeared on the Letterman Show and in the "Gone till
November" b- side with Wyclef of the Refugees.
If you would like you can vote for the winner here.
The question: Can-I-bus? The answer: most definatly!!
