The Ghosts of Now

COMING MAY '99

I was at my local library Tuesday (3-23-99). I was browsing the bookselves in the young adult section when I came across a book titled Short Curciut. When I opened the book there was a short story by JLN. I was so happy to find this story that I checked out the book and read it that night. I have also added a summary about the story and a review. The summary is on the books page, and the review is below.

Review for There's a Tomb Waiting for You

This Nixon story was found in the book Short Circuits edited by Donald R. Gallo. The entire book is a suspenceful read, but the best story is the one by JLN herself. The story is about a huanted house in New Orleans. Laurie is visiting her grandaunt. Laurie soon learns that the house her grandaunt lives in is haunted.

The shory reminded me a little of The Haunting. The things that happen to Laurie and her grandaunt are simple, but yet surprising. Nixon adds charm to the short when desribing the felling of the ghost. If you are able to get your hands on this anthology do so.
