MELTON MOWBRAY.

Construction of the church was begun in the 13th century. The church was proposed as the cathedral for the bishopric of Leicester, but St. Martins in Leicester became the cathedral.
Melton Mowbray has always been associated with fox hunting, not something to be proud of. Better to remember its other claim to fame, the PORK PIE. One of the joys of returning home is to enjoy a Walkers or a Tuxford and Tebbutt pie.
