"Front 242 are Daniel B., Patrick Codenys, Jean-Luc DeMeyer and Richard 23. You are on the front. You are part of Front a long time before it enters your life. You are in its mind, and so is the rest of the world. Daniel B., P.Codenys, J-L DeMeyer, and Richard 23 are the members of the Front 242 body. They serve Front's idea and in turn use it. They are the workers who activate, feed and program the Front machine. They are also its soldiers since front always struggles. They are incessantly adapting, because Front has the duty to change.
Front is their struggle and their victory. They are going to die. They are going to howl themselves to death. Individually this is the motive of their speed and their struggle.
Front is a method in movement. Its rules evolve with the players and the referees.

- What is the Target...the Aim of Front 242?
"Front does not exist to create, sustain, or develop electronic music. The effort in itself is the focus of its efforts. Front's energy is not only its way, it is also its aim. The urgency of its manifestations, recorded or reproduced on stage, is not only a way of living, it's also its main reason for living.
Computers and rhythmboxes are not a way, an obligation, and even less objects of fascination and glorification. They are accessories, tools. They do not represent or express. Front uses them because they belong to the present. Front captures samples of its era and displays them for us to see, to hear, and to think about. It does not express, classify, or judge. Front provokes a reaction.
Everbody is the target. Its music belongs to everbody and comes from everywhere. It changes, carries, and diversifies because nothing should be forgotten and nobody should escape it.
The assimilation of elements, the reflection of complexity, the aggression responding to aggression: All are Front. Front is the blending of a way of life and a reason for living.
