My Personal Pages

Hello there!
I am Seby M Isaac. I live in Visakhapatnam now. If you are so particular, I'll tell you my story.

I was born at a place called Nedumkandam, located in the wild regions of Idukki, in Kerala state of India. The day, November 30, 1069, time 0215 hrs IST. By the way IST is 5:30 ahead of UTC.

I was born the right way up, unlike the multitudes who come into this world the worng way up! It was really chilly outside, and I thought that I should be conserving my energy as much as possible. But they won't let me. They tried to hurt me and scold me so much, that after a while I had to shout back with anger ! And that gave joy to so many who were waiting in agony.

The next few days, months and years passed, with me as a little baby, passed through the first years of life. Few things I remember are Tea-rusks brought home by my Daddy, my toy gun, and getting my toe-nail torn off by a falling farm implement, and me being carried to the hospital by my weeping Mummy. I liked the hospital because I used to impress upon the doctor to prescribe sweet tonics for me.

Others liked me very much. I had a good play mate in Leela Chechi, who was staying with us a s a paying guest. She worked in the treasury, where she took me one day. I was afraid of the treasury watchman who had a big moustache.

Being quite adventurous in nature, I was exiled to Pandippara, where my paternal grand parents were staying. I remember that I was bit by a dog, and that I used to play with cats and dogs!

After the exile, I remember being admitted into a kalari, (akin to a village kindergarten) where I was supposed to learn my first letters. I had literally gate-crashed the kalari and ran behind Mummy. Not because I was afraid of the teacher. The teacher was afraid of me after I tore her sari and broke down her kalari door. It was because I could learn my letters better by watching the typist at Mummy's office better than by attending the kalari.

The rest of the story will follow soon
