Trade Federation Transport
The Trade Federation Landing Ship is build for transporting AAT's, MTT's and troop carriers from battleships to a planet's surface. These star ships are very inefficient, and a full landing ship can release its entire cargo of vehicles in less then an hour.
The Trade Federation landing ships are similar in design to standard commercial cargo barges, although they have been extensively reconfigured to carry AAT's, battle droids, and MTT's. To carry these heavy loads the C-9979 has tremendous antigravity lift capacity.
Almost all cargo is carried in the vessel's double wings. There is also a small area in the landing ship is dedicated to repair and maintenance shops. These are run by droids programmed to service battle droids and vehicles after engagements.
Landing ships sit unloaded in hangars of Trade Federation battleships. When combat is imminent, they can be loaded quickly.
