Guybrush ThreepwoodIn the distant past Guybrush traveled to Mêlée Island
in order to become a pirate. Soon after meeting the love
of his life (Elaine Marle) she was kidnapped by his archenemy
(who he had also just met) the Undead Pirate LeChuck. With
the help of some friends he defeated LeChuck and scattered his
spirit into the Caribbean winds.
On his next adventure Guybrush went in search for the legendary
treasure of Big Whoop. He got into a lot of trouble in this one,
he almost lost Elaine's love, he unknowingly helping LeChuck's first
mate in the resurrection of him, and by the end he had gotten
hexed by LeChuck into believing himself to be a little boy trapped
in the Carnival of the Damned. Now he's back to regain what he had lost.
LeChuckThe Undead Pirate's main problems are that he can't stay
dead and he can't get over Elaine. Add to that a perpetual
hygiene problem and a love for sadistic torture, and you'll
understand why they never made a musical about his life.
Elaine MarleThe popular governor rules the Caribbean tri-island area of Melee,
Scabb, and Plunder. Elaine grew up around pirates and is more
than capable of taking care of herself. Although frequently courted
by the Undead Pirate LeChuck, Elaine's sole love interest (however
sporadic), has always been Guybrush. She loves him for his incompetence.
MurrayBwahahahahaha! This Demonic Talking Skull has rash
plans to terrorize the world with his undead armies
and march....er...roll triumphantly through the gates
of hell! To see more about Murray click on his picture.
Wally the Cartographer
(Bloodnose the Pirate)Wally decided it was easier to make a career change
than to spend the rest of his life as LeChuck's prisoner.
Besides, this way he never has to attend another cartographer
convention nor go to workshops on "Latitude vs. Longitude: The
Great Debate" or "The Equator: More Than an Imaginary Line."
StanStan runs a used galleon business on Mêlée Island, a used
coffins business on Booty Island, and a life-insurance business
on Blood Island. He's certainly Mr. Generic (the stripes on
his jacket don't even move when he moves his arms),
but he's helped Guybrush through a lot of tough squeezes. Many or all of the Images on this page were made and/or edited by Mohamad Syafizan. I thank him for letting me use them. Visit his site:The A-mfggh-C's of Monkey Island.
