My telecommunication qualifications include installing, and managing, a wide range of media.
I had over 10 years of Circuit Actions experience during my
20 years as an Air Force Technical Controller.
I operated a large variety of Network Management and test equipment,
troubleshot complex CISCO based, worldwide, networks. I managed teams of installers and circuit
technicians installing, removing, changing, and upgrading hundreds of circuits
for the Department of Defense. I have been Shift Lead in a large
11 years for Aeronautical Radio, Inc (ARINC). I am very familiar with shift work.

CIT Coordinator for the installation of numerous NIPRNET, SIPRNET, T-1 and 10MB
circuits. I am presently the CIT POC for DVS-II transition installations, including connections
to the NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and the DSN . I coordinated Fiber Optic Carrier Trunk activations, including OC-3 and OC-12. I use my extensive troubleshooting and installation expertise to
identify and resolve installation problems when they occur. I coordinate closely with Commercial Carriers and provide circuit activation information to the Defense Information Telecommunication Contracting Office (DITCO) ensuring correct payments are made to commercial telecommunications providers.
Aeronautical Radio, Inc (ARINC),
Performed software loads on CISCO Routers and BBN message processors. Performed database backups. Monitored and troubleshot several large, worldwide, CISCO based Local Area and Wide Area Networks using various Network Management tools including Netcool, HP Openview, What’s Up Gold and CISCO Works. Troubleshot Frame Relay, ISDN, ATM, and Fast Ethernet. Activated backup connections between local and remote CISCO devices. Troubleshot Internet Web based and FTP issues. Coordinated with Help Desk, Technical Support, Engineering, and Commercial Carrier personnel as needed, to report outages, resolve outages, and to obtain the reason for the outages. Used the Remedy Ticketing System to record the outages and to assign the outage to the proper agencies. Escalated the outages in accordance with the local Standard Operating Procedures and the Commercial Vendors’ Service Level Agreements. Monitored power, water, A/C, fire and facility alarms for ARINC’s local and remote facilities. Performed troubleshooting of commercial long haul circuits and coordinated with commercial carriers to restore service. Prepared shift schedules, and assigned shift worker positions.
Performed Technical Control, Circuit Actions, and Shift Manager functions at various Air
Force installations worldwide. Activated new data and voice communications systems, and operated test equipment to perform quality control tests, and troubleshoot outages on active networks IAW Defense Information System Agency’s procedures and local policies.
