 hardware, personnel, and connectivity consolidation of two geographically separate global data network operations centers into one center; recovered the $3 Million cost within 3 years.
* Identified and exposed a loss of customer billing revenue, then lead
 the upgrade of system hardware and software; saved in excess of $100k
 per year recurring.
* Minimized loss of critical data during air traffic impairments by
 initiating and leading a project that identified potential single points of equipment/connectivity failure for the 10 largest U.S. airlines and their critical operations centers; more than 90% of the 100+ recommendations were initiated by the air carriers.

L3 Communications, Titan Group Kennesaw, GA  2005-2007 Network Services Manager
 Manage and oversee the network operations of a 100+ Novell, Linux and
 Window server operation in the 2nd largest school district in Georgia.
* Management of 15 engineers organized into functional groups providing
 systems and security administration, network operation of the client's
 infrastructure, and enterprise systems support.
* Supported the district CTO on all IT initiatives, and recommended
 alternatives for cost savings on vendor specific equipment and software
 licensing. First year savings totaled more than $100,000. 
* Ensured network service availability consistently met strictly
 defined Service Level Agreement objectives.
 
Ceridian Atlanta, GA   2003 - 2004    Manager, Network Operations
 Managed all facets of a nationwide 24x7 Network Operations Center.
 Assured effective policies and procedures were in place. Verified technical
 accuracy of all operating guidelines and checklists. Created and
 presented quality of service reports for senior management. Handled all
 personnel activities such as hiring, training and counseling.
* Created a new Network Operations Center (NOC) from the ground up;
 wrote process and procedural plans, established operational requirements,
 and conducted required training. Corporate savings were $85,000 per
 month recurring upon implementation of service.
* Staffed the new NOC; performed evaluation, interviewing, hiring and
 training of all personnel. NOC was operational 60 days from initiation.

Directed and managed one of the world's largest privately held wide
 area data networks. Directed all facets of the Network Operations Center
 (NOC) supporting day-to-day airline-critical aviation operations.
 Subsequently directed systems configuration and network routing for the
 network which consisted of packet switches, routers, gateways, protocol converters, voice response units, and related support systems.
* During implementation of the consolidation of two geographically
 diverse operations centers, integrated union positions in Chicago with
 non-union positions in Annapolis. Assimilated the two divergent groups into
 one cohesive unit so quickly and smoothly that the transition was
 completely transparent to airline operations.
* Personally recruited and hired more compatible staff to better meet
 the needs and stress of network operations shift work. Improved morale,
 reduced personnel turnover from 40% to zero in the first year, and
 saved more than $32,000 per year in recruiting and hiring costs in three
 consecutive years.
* Initiated network capacity and management strategies to eliminate
 delays in customer implementation. Launched successful initiatives and set
 expectations for acceptable and achievable service dates. Delays due
 to inefficiency were eliminated while delays in all other categories
 were reduced by 60%.
* Solidified operational relationships between ARINC and global
 satellite network providers for a service that allows airline communication with aircraft worldwide. Drafted and finalized proposals that resulted in an internationally accepted policy on satellite connectivity fault isolation and management escalation.
