ASCII stands for American Standard Code for Information Interchange. Using ASCII codes really comes in handy, especially for characters that you can't type on the keyboard.

You can insert ascii characters into your page by putting a &# and a ; around the three digit number code. Let's say you wanted to put a © (copyright sign) on your page. You'd have to type the following:
