Fred's Adventure Yes, Fred was startled one night by a loud ringing sound. At first he thought that it was his ears...maybe he'd smacked himself in the head with a pipe or something... Eventually though, he decided that it wasn't going to stop, and he started looking for the source.

It took him several minutes to find his telephone, being, as it was, buried beneath ten years of miscellaneous junk. For some odd reason, the caller never hung up during all this time. At long last, Fred grabbed the telephone. He then realized his major problem: he didn't know what to do with it!

This may sound hard to believe, but think about it for a minute...Fred never got any calls. Fred never called anyone. Fred didn't even know where his telephone was! Nevertheless, Fred was a fairly smart man, and certainly wasn't the kind to give up. He figured that he should probably...
