Sailor Uranus.
She is very
good at sports and racing. She is a very talented pianist, by the
way. She likes to dress like a man. In the manga, she's half male,
half female with characteristics of both sexes. When asked by
Usagi whether she was a girl or a boy, Haruka says that she is
both. Regardless, she likes to tease Usagi, calling her 'odango
atama' all the time.
One day after a track meet, one of Haruka's acquaintances (she didn't really have any friends at the
time) introduced her to Kaiou Michiru, who wanted to paint her portrait. Haruka refused rudely. She
recognized Michiru from the violent dreams she had been having of the end of the World. Later, she
went to a concert and saw Michiru playing her violin. Haruka left and was standing looking at a
painting entitled "The End of the World", by Kaiou Michiru. The picture was part of her dream.
Michiru came out and began talking to her. Haruka was, again, rude, and left without saying much.
Later, at a car race, Haruka's acquaintance was speaking with her when a youma attacked them.
The friend was possesed by the youma, and before Haruka was harmed, a glowing stick appeared
in front of her. Before she touched it, Sailor Neptune appeared telling her not to touch the stick. If
she accepted it, her life would be changed forever. Sailor Neptune destroys the youma and Haruka
takes the stuck embracing her destiny.
The dream that Haruka and Michiru shared was that of the end of the World. Their mission was to
find the Holy Grail and the Messiah. They were both willing to die if it meant completing this mission.
