I don't often read science fiction and amongst my greater interests in reading seldom think of it. I am indebted to a friend though who loaned me his copy and told me, "John, I know you will really like this book"! My Ham Radio friend was quite right, and he didn't even know that I have read almost all of Arthur C. Clark's books!

This book, "3001 - The Final Odyssey" picks up very nicely where 2001 left off. In fact I would say that if you even only saw the movie 2001, you would be at a good jumping off point to read this book! If however you have read the other stories 2001, 2010, and 2061, or even seen the movies, you should read this book. If you are like me and read and appreciate Mr. Clark for not only the way he spins a tale but, also appreciate him for his greatness of mind and intellect, you've got to read this book!
