Mewtwo Strikes Back was overall a good movie, but not as good
as it could have been. It could have been more realistic, but I think the plot
was pretty creative. If ofcourse involves Mew, and his clone Mewtwo. The story
starts off from Mewtwo's point of view, as he is being studied by scientists.
The scientists cloned possibly a human's cell with Mew's DNA, and Mewtwo was
born from that. Mewtwo speaks English in the movie, but he speaks without moving
his mouth. He uses his psychic powers, and is very powerful.
Mewtwo secretly holds a contest on his Island that he created from the scientist's
lab, but only the best trainers recieve invitations, including Ash! While all
the invited trainers are approaching the dock to leave for the secret island,
a massive storm approaches, and a representative for the contest tells everyone
that they may not leave to go to the island. This was mearely a test, to find
the true trainers. The true trainers made it. From there on, the battle with
Mewtwo evolves. I recomend seeing this movie, even if you're not the biggest
Pokemon fan. It's a good movie, and the animation is great. Although, there
are a couple mistakes, like one scene Misty is seen holding Togepi (a new egg-like
Pokemon), and the next they dive underwater, but Togepi is no where to be seen.
The mistakes in the movie don't change the outcome, nor mess up the plot. Just
simple mistakes. Out of 10, I would give this movie a 8. So go see this movie
when you have the chance, I don't think you'll regret it.
Heh, this was a 28-30 minute short movie before Mewtwo Strikes Back. It was basically about the Pokemon. Trainers weren't in this. Ash, Misty, and Brock's Pokemon were taken to a Pokemon Resort, and they ran into another group of Pokemon, including Snubble (a new Pokemon from Gold & Silver), Marril (another new Pokemon from Gold & Silver), and Raichu. They competed in their own contests to see who was better, such as Squirtle facd Marril in a swimming race. In the end, they see their similarities and differences and become friends. The only bad thing about this, was there were these intermissions inbetween major screne changes. The intermissions were like of Pokemon, such as one where Slowpoke or Slowbro was reciting it's name for what seemed like 5 minutes.
