Description: "USO" - Gene entertains the GIs overseas as a USO volunteer. The dark green woolen 'dress' uniform that she wears features a khaki shirt, necktie, leather purse and lace up shoes, garrison cap, hose and earrings. Her warm chestnut hair is styled in a bouncy, girl-next-door flip. Designed by Doug James. Circa 1944. Both the costume and researched biographical story are officially endorsed by the USO/Camp Shows Inc.
