Here are before and after photos of very short
taper cut. This cut could be categorized under several different names.
Regulation cut, fade, low and tight could all apply. Variations of this
very short style have been popular at various times during this century
(although in earlier times, the hair would be plastered with hair tonic).
Today it is still an excellent style, especially for someone who likes to have some hair on top, but likes the sides extra short. And it can be worn with a baseball cap for a hair-free look. |
![]() This style is basically a very short taper cut. The hair lower down at the back and sides is clipped to the skin. Above that, the hair is tapered to give a neat, sharp appearance. Even with the hair clipped to the skin like this, it is the barber's skill of the tapering above the clipped area that gives this cut a professional appearance. The front view contrasts with the back and side view. The hair on top has been left long enough to comb over, with a part on the left side of the subject's head. |
Thanks to Joe who was the barber and photographer and thanks to the subject who appears in these photos. |
