Trihawk - A Mohawk Variation

The Trihawk This style is the creation of a Buzztown reader, Jay.  He has given this cut the title "Trihawk" - a good name for this mohawk variation.

This is not a low maintenance style, as you will read below, and it is certainly not for someone with an introverted personality.  It's a distinctive cut for someone who wants a cut that is unique.

Read below what Jay says about this style, and see some more photos of the "Trihawk".    In the photos below, you can see the detail in this styling.  Thanks Jay for providing these cool photos to Buzztown.

I thought you all may have an interest in a nice variation on the single mohawk.

It's called the trihawk, in this one, I let the middle strip go all the way from front to back at the same length, the two side strips came to the skull line and gradually worked their way in from the outer ridge of my scalp.  (A lot of these you see will have the two outer strips extending all the way and the middle cut off half way or at the top ridge of the skull.)

And for reference the "High and Tight" mohawk you referred to, is called a "flophawk" around here, due to the fact for the most part, the top is just combed over to the side, sometimes over one eye, rather than being hairsprayed or gelled in a vertical fashion.  Also, quite a few flop hawks are cut to match the jaw line, meaning the front is a bit longer than the back.  When I had this style, I'd comb it wet to one side, trace my jaw with the scissors, comb it to the other side, and repeat that, and walk out the door.

The way I got it to stick up is with use of "AquaNet" in the purple unscented ultra super hold or some such. :P  And lots of it.  Holds quite well actually, many hours, and even in light showers, which is very  beneficial considering it takes about two hours alone to put it up.
