High and Tight with Flattop Variation

The Buzztown reader shown in these photos has an excellent high and tight, which really looks good on him.

The top of this cut is a variation of a flattop. It still has a landing strip cut, but the hair on top is brushed forward. Remember, high and tights don't have to be flattops, and typically in the military, they are usually not flattops, but more of a crewcut style.

Front/side view Although the top is brushed forward, it is still cut with a slight landing strip. The hair in front has just enough length to distinguish it from a (simpler) buzzcut, and this makes this cut look more professional. The gradual and precise variation in hair length shown in these photos (especially, the front view, below) is a classic example of good barbering.

Another reason that this cut looks good is because the shape of the clipped hair line around the side of the head, follows the natural hair line at the front of the head. This can be seen by looking at the photo below, which shows the front of the head.
