‘Huh? What for?’
‘Well, you’ve done so much and you’re already into it…’
‘Oh! No way! We’ll write you in no probs! You can be the new girl on the block stirring up the guys!’ he grinned.
I glanced over at Matthew but he seemed to be enthralled in a girl called Keelie or something.
Miss Green, the Drama teacher decided to have a group discussion about episode four.
We talked for the whole period and it was decided that I should be the new girl from LA (hey, sounds kinda familiar) who comes to Newton and puts the boys in a spin. (ok, not so familiar) She is also a singer. (back to the original story line.)
I found out all the characters, so here’s a list of who’s who.
1. Sexy Matthew plays Ryan Short resident jock and stud, who is dating Keelie's character. He’s a real sweet guy though, and he’s only really dating Keelie because she’s a real bitch and could hurt him if he dumps her. (sounds a lot like the impression I’m getting of Keelie)
2. Ok, Keelie plays Bessie Kelly who’s the cheerleader popular girl type and who’s parents died in a car wreck and she’s all messed up about it.
(oh, by the way, Matthew and Keelie appear to be an item.)
3. Brent plays Ben Mandaven, the best friend of Ryan and madly in love with Bessie. He’s really nice too, but has a tendency to drink a lot, and so attends AA. His parents divorce and Keelie have messed him up.
4. A girl called Haley plays the brain box ‘best friend’ of Bessie, Jamie Wright. But it makes you wonder if Bessie only hangs out with her so Jamie can do her homework while she parties. Jamie has been harboring a secret crush on another character Jeremy for years.
5. Shane plays Jeremy Hill, who’s just a regular guy. Plays with Ryan on the football team, but doesn’t particularly like him. He’s good friends with Jamie but doesn’t like her as she likes him.
6. Craig plays Hank Green, a kid from London, (he actually is from London) who’s come over here because his dad was with the CIA but wanted out. He’s a bit of a computer freak and loner and constantly paranoid the CIA of Mafia are after him.
7. Is Jill, who plays Joey Burrows, a very good gymnast who is hoping to get to the Olympics. She is dating Tom, but it seems she has no time for him anymore.
8. Tom plays Tom Smith, the drummer for the school’s band, ‘THE BLIND EYE.’ He’s the typical rock star type, but way too associated with his groupies and drugs and not enough with the band.
9. Shannon plays Mark Allen, another regular guy, best friend of Jeremy. His parents are multi-millionaires but never home, so Ryan and Bessie have been known to take advantage of his trusting personality and throw wild parties at his house.
And 10. Is going to be me. I will play Sarah Matthews, the new girl who rocks in from LA, with no background and a mysterious nature. All the boys fight for her attention and all the girls fight to keep them away, as they don’t trust her. Very mysterious and always nonchalant, Sarah’s past is a mystery and none of the girls except Joey seem to trust her. Eventually, Joey gets her to open up and Jeremy steals her heart.
