By the time we'd finished, we were sitting in Tay's spot, looking out over Tulsa.
'You know, KL5 has expressed an interest in 'Secrets and Lies'.' I told Tay.
'Really? That's great! Is it going well?'
'Yeah! Absolutely fantastic darling!' I put on a fake English accent.
'Smashing!' Tay agreed.
'You know, I was thinking…'
'Jeez! I wondered what all the smoke was!'
'Shut up! You know how all TV shows have a title song at the start…….'
'Yeah, like Dawson's Creek.'
'Yeah. Well, I was wondering, 'Secrets and Lies' doesn't have one, and definitely needs one….'
'Of course I'll help you write it.'
'Oh! Oh, ok thanks!'
'Hey, Zac's having a party on Saturday night and some of Ike's friends and mine are coming. Wanna come? It's only going to be twelve-year-olds but I'm sure we can spice it up a little! It's basically his first 'boy- girl' party.'
'Sure. Do we get to play 'Truth or dare'?' I asked Tay like a twelve-year-old.
'Maybe! But you might have to kiss me!' he grinned back.
'Ewwwwww! Cooties!' I screwed up my face in disgust.
'Fine! If your going to be like that about it!' he grabbed me and pushed me over.
'Ahhhhh! What is it with this place? You always bash me up here!'
When he had me down, I thought he was going to hit me, but instead he leant down and kissed me.
'Ok, well this is definitely better than getting belted up!' I smiled, returning his kiss.
'Oh! I just remembered!' suddenly he shot up.
'What?'
''Surely as the sun!' We have to record it today!'
'Oh! We do too!'
We raced back to Tay's house.
When we got there, Zac and some kid I had never seen before were sprawled out in the garage talking and writing urgently down on bits of paper.
'Zac, out! Peta and I are recording something. And get mom down here too!' Tay yelled at his younger brother.
'Tay! You can't boss me around! I am nearly twelve you know. I'm not a kid anymore!'
'Zac! I don't wanna hear your sob story, please take your bud, whoever he is and clear out!'
'No! I won't! You and Ike think you can boss me around, just 'cause your famous, well without me, you are nothing! And I'm famous too!'
'What are you gonna do Zac? Leave the group?'
'Well no…..'
'Great. Now please leave the garage.'
Grumbling, Zac and his friend packed up their stuff and walked out of the room.
