Chapter One

Ok, it IS Tulsa, but will I get to meet Hanson?

My first week in Tulsa was pretty average I guess, even though Hanson lived there.
That, coincidentally was mom’s big selling point.
But needless to say I wasn’t buying it.
‘Three questions for you mom.’ I’d said to her.
‘Number one, do you know how big Tulsa is?’
She nodded but before she said anything, I went on.
‘And do you know how famous Hanson are?’
She rolled her eyes at that one.
‘At lastly, do you know how often Hanson are even home? I have as much change running into them in Tulsa as I do here in LA. Besides, they spend most of there time here anyway.’
She left the room.
Actually, I was mighty excited about the prospect of moving to Hanson’s hometown, (as you could well imagine) I just didn’t tell mom and dad that.
Ben’s argument was much the same as mine, no beach, no friends etc.
One area of his argument kind of went against my beliefs though.
He didn’t want to move to Tulsa because Hanson lived there.
I told him he was in need of mental assistance.
He told me Hanson were.
So we moved to a suburb of Tulsa called Glenpool, which almost caused me to have heart failure because I had heard Hanson had moved to Bixby, and Glenpool was like next door to Bixby! Major excitement.
And I was enrolled into Glenpool High.
It was pretty modern and I guess you could almost say nice.
Ben was enrolled in Glenpool Junior High (not real imaginative names in good ol’ Oklahoma!) and we attended our first day at our schools on the fifth day we were in Tulsa.
Oh yeah, our house was nice too; it was a modern two-story thing with the stairs going up from right smack in the middle of the house. Pretty cool.
Anyway, my first day at school went like so;
Mom dropped me off outside where I’d checked out the day before the other kids get dropped off and I went in search of administration to get a timetable.
I noticed a few cute guys on my way but tried to blend in as much as possible and not perve.
After following numerous signs, I was still as lost as ever and only had five minutes before first period, so I decided to brave it and ask someone for directions.
I saw a normal looking girl about my age coming towards me on her own and decided to ask her.
‘Uh, excuse me?’
She turned to me.
‘Um, hi. Could you please tell me where administration is?’
She smiled.
‘Sure. Um, up here to your left and then make a right. It’s pretty much straight-ahead.’
