Angel on his mind.......
Zac watched as Tay slammed the door to his room.
Tay wandered aimlessly around and around his room, his mind on the girl from the first concert.
Ike showered and then pressed the button to signal he wanted to speak to his father on the phone.
Tay heard knocking on the door and wanted to throw something at it.
He wandered over to Ike who was slumped up against the door jam.
'What'sa matter with Tay? Did he miss Animaniacs again?'
'No Zac. I don't know what's wrong with him ok?'
Ike then disappeared into his room, slamming the door behind him.
'Wooah! I didn't know having thousands of screaming girls after you could put you in such a bad mood. Oh well, all the more for me.' Zac shrugged and wandered off down the hall to find his mom and get some money for a Snickers.
It was driving him crazy.
Why the hell was he still so hung up on her?
Two days later?
He had seen her once in his whole damn life and it was not like he'd ever see her again.
Frustrated, he threw some clothes off the chair and slumped down into it.
'Get over her already damn you!' he cursed himself.
But it was as if she had cast a spell on him and he could not forget her, no matter how hard he tried.
When Walker answered, Ike asked,
'Dad? Can we go out for awhile? I'm really bored.'
'I don't know…..'
'Oh come on dad. Just for an hour or so. It won't kill us, really.'
Walker hesitated.
Should he let his sons out so soon after the concert? There were probably still hundreds of girls waiting out there.
But they weren't children anymore..
'Ok, but don't go past West fifth, and take my phone so if you get mobbed you can call someone.'
Ike had to choke back a laugh that was dangerously close to being blurted out.
Did his dad think they were kids or something?
Ike thought it was about time his dad woke up to the fact that he was only two months shy of eighteen and not a little kid anymore.
Jeez, he could drive for goodness sakes!
'Yep sure dad. Whatever.' And he pressed the hang up button.
Grabbing his coat, he made his way down the hall to collect Zac and maybe, if he was out of his funk, his moody brother Taylor.
He just wanted to be left alone.
'Tay?' Ike's voice floated through.
'What?' Tay snapped.
'Zac and I are going out, you wanna come?'
'No.'
