Cruel: A face in the crowd......

A face in the crowd......

Taylor thumped away at his keyboard, belting out the tune and words to 'Where's the love', completely on top of the world. He scanned the crowd and smiled at the millions, well, maybe hundreds of smiling faces, most of which were singing along to the lyrics of the song.
He looked briefly over to Ike who was getting right into it on his guitar and Zac who was having the time of his life bashing away on the drums.
He felt really in control and totally, blissfully happy.
He never wanted to leave.
Halfway through Ike's solo, something made him look down into the crowd in front of him.
A young girl, among many, was bopping away to the music, her long dark hair swishing out around her.
She had on a light blue tightly fitted T-shirt and seemed to radiate with energy.
Something about her made Tay unable to tear his eyes away from her.
For a moment, he was so lost in her that he almost forgot to play.
Luckily, he switched onto automatic pilot and the music flowed out of him almost without him realizing.
For the remainder of the show, Tay could not take his eyes off the girl in the front row with a magical aura about her.
He wished he could meet her, get to know her, marry her.
Well, maybe that was going just a bit far.
He didn't even know her name.
But he wished he did.
For the rest of the night, the girl's face haunted his every thought.
He could not get her out of his mind.
His dreams were filled with the girl with the magical aura.

During their next concert two days later again at Key Arena in Seattle, Tay found himself wishing he could look down into the crowd and see his angel staring up at him again.
He wished he could just go and pull her up onto the stage and sing to her, letting everyone know how she haunted his every thought.
But as much as he strained to see into every corner of the auditorium, he could not find her, she had not returned.

As the guys left the stage, to thunderous applause and screams for an encore, Ike managed to grab Tay by the arm and pull him aside.
'Tay?'
'Yeah, what?'
'Are you ok?'
'Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?'
'Well, you looked kinda spaced out up there.'
Tay shrugged.
'Are you sure?.'
'Ike, please.' Annoyed, Tay pushed past him brother and disappeared into his hotel room, right off the hall where they had just played.
