Long ago these primates roamed the earth in great herds. From seashore to great snowy mountaintops they wandered, leaving in their wake terrible Cookie Crisp shortages and depriving the land of all it's shiny objects. It was the Age of the Monkey! Prince (The Artist fomerly known as Prince) was forced to write "Purple Rain" to appease the monkey leaders, and every night the primates played it outrageously loud and woke up all the little old ladies. Tribes of smurfs were captured and painted purple, much to the amusment of the monkeys, yet never overly enjoyed by the smurfs. Skittles and M&M's were banned from the land because they refused to include a violet colored candy. Finally the other inhabitants of the earth had had enough! With the young girl leading them onward, they left their homes, armed with blenders and beef jerky, and followed the hated and feared violet tree-dwellers. For many years they battled the monkeys, throwing yellow Skittles to break up monkey-mobs, and finally, the last known purple monkey was beef-jerkied to death and the world rejoiced! Now Cookie Crisp flowed like water, and every little boy and girl had a shiny object to play with.

But now, years later, it is rumored that the purple monkey roams the land once more ...

That's right - Calypso is starting her own little contest, because I'm sick and tired of looking at everybody's websites with a whole page of awards and then looking at mine - with absolutely no awards. Isn't that sad? YES! So, I'm setting up this little contest. All you have to do is find a picture or drawing of a violet/purple/any other purplish-shade of monkey and send it to me.
