third winter (?) glaucoides Iceland Gull
	Fig 1) This bird was photographed in February in Japan, where Iceland Gulls are quite rare. Compare its size with the Black-tailed Gull behind it. The eyes of both birds should be pale, but the image doens't capture that. Aging pale gulls can be tough. Note the immature bill coloration and brownish smudging on the underparts.
