BILL SHAPE: rather variable but generally appearing proportionately longer and thinner than armenicus; gon angle usually small

POSTURE/HABITS: in many ways (size and plumage) intermediate between cachinaans and heuglini (thought to be a well-defined hybrid swarm of the two), thus smaller than the former and larger than the latter
