Hi Duggan! I've got a pituitary tumor too and have been managing it
with medication for the last twenty years. I've spoken to your Mom
and Dad when I first came across the PTNA referenced in a Usenet
group over a year ago. Isn't this new media amazing! A new world
of communication and community building. I was sorry to hear about
your Dad's heart attack and hope he is better now. Are there going
to be further plans for the summer camp? I'd like to volunteer if I
can. I'm moving to San Francisco in the next few weeks and need to
connect with a doctor there. Can you recommend someone? it's really a
thrill to see your photo after following your story for the last year.

My name is B.J. I am 8 years old. I have the same tumor. I have had
three surgeries and radiation. I am lucky because my vision is ok.
I understand how you feel about the temperature. I feel hot and get
red all the time, my mom says I am really pink though.I am in third
grade, enjoy archery. I work out at the gym (really physical therapy
- result of a stroke from the 2nd surgery in 12/93.
Do you have DI? I use the rinal tube, also on synthoroid and Corteg.
I also am on Growth Hormone.

Wow! What a great page you've set up. I enjoyed reading it.
I'm in the middle of researching how the Pill increases the risk
of developing pituitary tumors. That's when I came across your page.
I just thought I'd say "HI". I figured you probably were never
on the Pill. But as of now, all I can find is Doctors saying they
want more studies done before they take thier patients off.

I went to a community college my 1st two years also.

My daughter Jamie has a craniophyarngioma also :-(
She planned to start college last week, but, has had a recurrance of
tumor. We're looking into the gamma knife up in Boston. She is 19
and her tumor was found at the age of 7. Have you seen the home page
'Giggles'? It's a listserv and can be very funny at times.
