Fred is a very special dog.  He was rescued from a backyard breeder.  He was blind from years of untreated eye problems and he was severely emaciated.
These are the photos of Fred when he was rescued.  He weighed 11 pounds, about 1/2 of what he should have weighed.  You can see his ribs and hip joints through his skin.  He had warts and also an infected laceration to one of the pads on his back leg.
We fostered Fred for about 8 months.  He needed a lot of TLC, lots of vet care and he also had some behavior problems which we discovered were related to separation anxiety.   We used Prozac and behavior modification to help him with the separation anxiety.  He has now been adopted into a wonderful loving home and even has a little poodle brother.   Look below to see the photos of Fred, 6 months and 13 pounds later!
