Hello There!!

We're lovely to look at, a site to behold, and we'll

be around, when you've all grown old!!

Normal life expectancy for these birds is 45 to 85 years at least.

So the plans for their futures was made before they were brought home.

Do they talk?? That's always the first question.

Well Boudreaux talks up a storm,saying pretty much anything he chooses.

He can sing "Happy Birthday to You" and "Oh What a Beautiful Morning" and man, am I ever having trouble getting them recorded ,,, of course!!,,,,,

as well as his own version of the 2 combined! They are nothing if not

entertaining! Pepper has said a few words, but "chooses" not to talk.

No point in it, he gets everything he needs and wants without it.

And he is so pretty, well he gets by on his looks!

As for Thibodaux, it is not unusual for CAG's (Congo African Grey's)

not to talk until much older than other parrots, such as Amazons.

He is starting to try to talk. Although he had much rather whistle.

And BOY!!! Can he Whistle!!!

He does now say his name and "step up" and "come see"

(which is a Cajun expression folks for come here or come see me)

And he is trying to say other things, WE'RE just not sure what they are yet! He is starting now to get fairly vocal. Suddenly he is saying all the time....."Sugar, Sugar, Gimme Sugar! Want some sugar? I want sugar." Once he has even demanded!!! "Gimme Sugar NOW!" which of course he got!! :)

Our family travels all over in our fifth-wheel (RV) working and our space is "kinda" limited . But we all love it. Getting to see new places , meet new people. Its a great way to see the country.And now with the computer and being online we can just take our friends with us. And you guys know who you are!! Thanks so much for all the help from all our Friends Online and a special birdie hello to HOWIE!!!!

now we had his pic here somewhere he sent us...

there he is,,,,cute little fella isn't he? He's a Quaker. And he is rather

quiet and his handwriting is not too great as you can see, but we keep in touch. And now we finally got an email from Gumbo, our friend down near New Orleans, and he sent us some pics as well.

He's such a sweetheart...(wing wavin' to Gumbo!) Now is that a Pretty Baby or not??!!! And he can be rather noisy, but oh soooooooo sweet!
