Story 17 Help! Another Dog???

Help! My family brought home this little, fluffy thing! I guess his name is Jake. I don't like him! All he wants to do is pounce on me and try to take my toys! At first I was scared and stayed as far away as I could. Now that I know he's not going anywhere, I am taking control of all my toys! This picture shows about as close as I will get to the fur ball, unless I see him with a bone!
Story 18 Please! Can I have a peanut!

One of my favorite foods are peanuts! My mom has a little dish of them in her room. If you look closely in the picture, it is a dish with a birdie made on it. Everytime she is in her room, I sit up on her bed and stare at this birdie. Now if you know me well, you know my feelings on birdies. But since this one has peanuts, I guess I can be nice this time!
Story 19 Treat? Ok, I'll Leave Birdie Alone.

I must apologize for this picture. They didn't get close enough to me, so the arrow can help you find me. This story is about how to get more treats. As you know, there's a birdie who also lives in our house and I really don't like him. I use to bark at the cage every time Mom cleans it. Now, she has been nice enough to give me treats if I don't bark throughout the cage cleaning process. So every morning, after breakfast, I run for the closet door, where the treats are kept, knowing that I'll get some if I keep my mouth closed:)
Story 20 Help! I'm Stuck in a Cage!
Sorry, I don't have a picture to go along with this story because I didn't want you to see how sad I looked. Here's the story. Last month, my family went on vacation to Disney World. Jake and I got to go on our own "vacation" to the veternary clinic they work at. Can you believe we were stuck in a cage. And to top it all off, I had my teeth cleaned and a tooth pulled. I didn't like it one bit, though I think Jake did, (he's a pup, he doesn't know any better). I did meet a lot of dogs while I was there and the people who worked there were nice. I was so glad when my family picked me up. A word of advice to other dogs, you really can appreciate how good you have it when it's gone for a week.
Story 21 Can't Get Me Up Here, Jake!
Well, Jake's been around since November and he's still bugging me. He always wants to play and pounce on me. I showed him, though. I can jump all the way up to the top of the couch, you know, where people's head usually are. Jake is lucky that he can just barely jump up on the seat part. Everytime I want to get away from him, or if my family are all gone away, I hop up to the top and take a snooze. Ha, Ha, Jake! Can't get me!
Story 22 Go Speed Racer, Go!
Every now and then, my family takes Jake and me out to run at some land they own along a river. I love to go and run free. I like to chase after my family and sniff EVERYTHING. Jake might be younger than me, but I always win the races!
