I took a pig in for a Vietnam Vet while he had a stay in the hospital.He passed away and the family wants nothing to do with the pig. We don't have him in the house, he has a 12x12 stall and we are just seeking information on how to properly care for him ince he is now ours. Thanks for the information on your site.

Do you have a potbellied pig?: Yes, I have one named Rambo and my first pig, Yoda, died Easter day, 1999. He was only 7 but had kidney stones. He had surgery, but died anyway.

It is so very important to take care of your pet pig and do a yearly trip to the vet. We ALWAYS did and still do. It was a freak thing that my Yodapig died. He died because he choked on his vomit. Not because of the kidney stones. Anyway, if your gonna ha e a pet, PLEASE take care of it and love it. You are all it has to depend upon

Do You know how long they live?: Yes, have been reading on the Internet about them. I am a committed pet owner.
Do you have a potbellied pig?: No, but I am looking for one that is a miniture. No more than 50 lbs full grown.

How do I know if I'm buying a miniture pig? I've heard horror stories of people buying these tiny pigs and them growing to 150 lbs. I don't want a large pig, only interested in the smaller version. We live in Tennessee and the weather gets up to 100 in he summer. How do I protect the pig from heat. Also, our winters are mild but sometimes do have below freezing nights. Will the pig need a heat lamp?

i've always loved miniature schnauzers....had one as a kid. today, i've got three cats and i've not owned a dog in a long time, but if i were to get one, a mini-shnauzer would be a possible option. my wife says they bark too much, but that can differ from one dog to the next.anyway, nice site.

I was terrified of pigs until I adopted Cuddles.He was a rescue from the SPCA.He was very small.And he needed a home,I needed to over come a fear.With guidance from my vet and an over crowded pig shelter.Cuddles has grown and become healthy.I have learned much about pigs.I check out "pig" sights to learn more.I have a healthy happy pig that I no longer fear as he still sleeps at the foot of my bed.He has learned many tricks.I marvel at his intellagence.I will continue enjoying him and sights such as this o e. thank you.
