SMOKEY'S SOAPBOX POEMS
I have written poems and formed opinions on just about
everything. I don't make any bones about how I feel about
any given subject. I will stand up for what I believe in.
If you can't handle the answer, then don't ask me the
question. These next few poems will clearly show you
where I stand on certain issues.
CHOICE
We are led to believe that it is our choice.
When this happens, there are those that will rejoice.
Life was created and then given to us from God above.
It was never our choice that we should destroy that love.
We are taught to separate right from wrong.
But, with wrong, it is easy to persuade us to go along.
Regardless of what we think or what we do,
Many will pay for the actions of a few.
We should love life and protect it from the very start.
The life that is brought forth we should love from our heart.
We will all be held accountable for our actions.
A terrible price we will pay for our self satisfaction.
From what Mary and Joseph had to face in their day,
I am thankful their choice was not to make the whole world
pay.
Before your so called choice ends a God given life,
Ask the Lord about his choice, before you go under the knife.

JUST FOR A VISIT
If just for a visit, Jesus were to return today,
Just what in the world would he have to say.
What would he think of our world today.
Our world now, is in such decay.
What would he think about a world that shows no emotion.
That murders thousands of lives and calls it pro-choice
or abortion.
Could he draw a crowd for his sermons to teach.
Would there be any souls this world would let his word reach.
Would he be allowed in or near a public school.
Without protesting crowds shouting that he was a fool.
If for protection, would he have to live behind bars.
Lest his body be marked with even more scars.
Could he walk our streets without being shot or drugged.
Or to say the least, just being mugged.
If only for a visit, Jesus had better stay away,
And not come back until the promised day.

SCHOOL DAZE
When I was in school, it was God in which we place our trust.
Now, to trust in anything but God, seems to be the thrust.
Some kids carry concealed weapons down the hall.
But, passing out religious tracts will get you pinned against
the wall.
Drugs,violence and disrespect now, seem to be the way of
life.
A simple prayer will cause more concern than someone cut
with a knife.
How can we raise our children and teach them right from
wrong.
When at school, peer pressure persuades them to go along.
Will it ever be like it was back then.
Will we ever place our trust in God again.

WE ARE NOT OUR OWN
In what we are doing to our babies, have we not all gone mad.
Just plain abortion is bad enough but, now partial birth
is very sad.
Our children are the things we should give our lives for.
From conception on, these babies are involved in a mortal
war.
The most dangerous place they will ever be is in their
mother's womb.
Sadly, many will leave there and go straight to their tomb.
There is no doubt in my mind that the ones that support
these gruesome deeds,
Will answer to God above when their case they try to plead.
Just what will our legislature have to say,
When they try to explain this carnage on judgement day.
Will they try to protect themselves, like Adam's words of
wit,
When he told the Lord, Eve made me do it.
Those who think, with their bodies, they can do with as they
please, will try to atone.
When they understand that God's word says that our body is
not our own.

SAVE OUR BABIES
Both houses of congress voted to stop partial birth abortion.
Then the President vetoed the bill with little or no show
of emotion.
Our congress then voted on the veto to override.
It was a vote they wished they could hide.
There were many that voted, so in the Devil they could
confide.
I am still proud that some of us are still on God's side.
When the vote was taken it fell short by nine.
There was many that thought this was just fine.
A darkness came over the earth as the night came.
A total eclipse of the moon was there to show our shame.
People remarked that they had never seen an eclipse so red.
It was just the blood of all the babies that are now dead.
There are some of us that try and save the babies.
But, there are others that have a form of walking rabies.
God, you promised you would not put more on us than we can
take.
Please stop all of this murder, for all of our sake.

JUMPING THE TRACK
It was just a short while back,
The way things were done was on a straight track.
The Supreme Court used to interpret the laws of our land.
Now, they make the laws they need and do it on command.
The news media used to report the news when a story there
was to tell.
The stories they report now, to me, have a very bad smell.
It is not enough just to tell the truth.
They now report the news without any proof.
At one time we were innocent until they proved our guilt.
Now, that interpretation is nothing like the fondation
on which our freedoms were built.
It used to be that justice was blind.
Now, money seems to be able to sway her mind.
Things ran a lot smoother when we were not so politically
correct.
For now, what we say and do, our system has been totally
wrecked.
Congress could work together for the betterment of our land.
But, to let both parties work out a bill is more than they
can stand.
It is plain to see that they have jumped the track.
The answer is plain if they really want to get it all back.
If we are ever to get it back on the track,
We have to place our trust in God and that is a fact.

FOR THE THIRD TIME
Clinton is doing it to us again, and for the third time.
He will veto the Partial Birth Abortion Bill and pull us
deeper into his grime.
When he vetoes this bill, even more babies will die.
How can this man sleep at night or look another baby in
the eye.
This man is evil and becoming more so each day.
Adultery, lying and now murder of babies is his way.
There is no abortion that has favor in God's eye.
Those that support this will answer to God, after they die.
How can it serve a woman that gives birth, all except for
the head,
Then allow forceps to be shoved into the baby's brain, just
to make sure it is dead.
God said he already knew these babies and now he will surely
mourn.
As we continue to murder these babies as they are being born.
There are many that say Pro Choice or Abortion is their
right.
It is time for true Christians to stand up and fight.
There are those that will take these babies parts and
sell them for greed.
We have gone so far, can we ever get back to a moral creed.
To the poles we must go and vote the abortion supporters out.
Then they might see what a country with Christian principles
is all about.
To challenge each preacher to teach from the pulpit what is
right.
Then maybe we will all be able to sleep at night.

BEGGING FOR HIS PLACE
Lucifer started a war and thought he would become God.
Clinton started several wars and thinks he is God.
He has played into the Devil's hand at every turn.
It is as if he is begging for his place in hell fire to burn.
It took a lot of the Devil's help for Clinton to get where he is now.
Is there anything unholy this man will not allow.
It is only a matter of time until his office he will leave.
The what kind of demonic ideas will he try to conceive.
When I spot a serpent it is my instinct to back away.
With this serpent, I will also keep my eye on him each
and every day.
He may think he is God but he is in another realm.
The real God will never allow him to take the helm.

SEPARATED BY A COMMA
We all have a tendency to add something where it does not belong.
Be it our Pledge of Allegiance or the singing of our National Song.
I can not recall our National Anthem being sung the same way twice.
When they pick someone to sing, it is nothing but a roll of the dice.
No one knows just what will be next or the thoughts their actions
will provoke.
There are those it seems, that just want to impress us common folk.
When it comes to our Pledge of Allegiance there are some that still
add and subtract.
They want to change the meaning to fit something with a little less
fact.
I have watched as those that be have taken God our of our government
and schools.
It was simple for them, being Politically Correct in all things, made
the rest of us look like fools.
There were times when they would run into areas where they had to
use other tools.
It was a simple task for them when this happened, they just changed
the rules.
Now, with nothing more than a comma they have separated our
nation from our God.
In our Pledge of allegiance we say, "One Nation", "Under God", and the
separation is there and we don't even nod.
It should read, "One Nation Under God" as we proclaim whom we are
subject too.
For God goes with our nation the same way the Stars and Stripes
goes with the Red, White and Blue.
