Here we are in the land of the free and the brave. In a country that was founded and based on Christian principles. At this point in time, a little over 223 years later we should be sitting on top of the world. We should be receiving the blessings that the good Lord gives the nations that do his will and love him. But, here we sit with crime running rampant in the streets. Children killing children in our schools. Government officials that we have elected that are so corrupt we can not believe anything they say and we can not condone what they do. A place where someone is as soon to attack you as not for something as simple as wearing a piece of clothing that is the wrong color. A place where Love Thy Brother is a forgotten saying. A place were road rage can be sparked by the least of actions. A country where the love of money and the greed that it bestows, is to the point where no one is safe from it. A country where a person can be robbed and murdered for as little as pocket change. A country where, trying to say a prayer in most places will get you taken to task by the establishment or the ACLU. A country that is supposed to protect our rights to worship our God but, does everything within it's power to restrain those freedoms. A country that has gotten to where the officials have no common sense left at all. A country where a defense lawyer will plead that a person should not be punished because he murdered two men while he was mad at them. A country where we condemn the gun and not the criminal. Where we blame society and not the terrorist. Where a pendant of the Star Of David can be misrepresented as being a gang symbol. A place where wearing the cross of Jesus can get you fired from your job. Where the will of the people is put asunder by the very few that think they know what the people of our country needs.
When people stand and are so afraid that they are not politically correct, they will deny a persons God given rights that is supposed to be protected by the Constitution of the United States. A country that will allow the eventual down fall of our country because they are afraid to stand up and say that this country was founded on the Principles of Christianity and that we should live and govern by those principles. A country that does all that it can to not step on the toes of anyone. To be sure that everything that is said and done is politically correct. A country that had it's foundations based on Christ and will allow an atheist, muslim, hindu or any other form of anti-Christian beliefs
stand in the way of our rights.
We should allow the anti-Christian beliefs to be taught but, on the other hand, we should not allow our government to say that it is all right for them to worship as they please but, that we as Christians can't worship in the open. A freedom that our constitution gives us the right to do.
If they think it is so bad here that they may be in the presence of a prayer or a religious tract and be exposed to the Christian beliefs, then let them go to a country that will force their form of religion on them and they will have no recourse.
To stand and say that because a person does not believe in Christianity, we have to provide a Christian free atmosphere for them is ridiculous. The exposure to any type of Christian teachings may be the only form of religion that person may ever experience. That brief encounter may end up saving his soul.
But we live in a country that is afraid to teach, Love thy brother or Love thy God with all thy heart and soul. We instead teach our children about the use of condoms, the proper ways of sex and educate them in all the wrong areas. That we were conceived from a tadpole that crawled out of the ocean one day and turned into a monkey and then turned into a man. Where does it say in our Constitution, if God's teachings are to be thrown out the door, we have to be taught and believe what Charles Darwin thought might have happened. Who is to even say that he was even sober when he dreamed up that idea.
Yes, we have let our country really get it's neck in a noose. At this rate, it won't be long until someone trips the latch on the trap door. There is but one way that we will ever get out of the mess that we are in. It will take everyone that believes in Jesus Christ to quit being a patsy for our politically correct government and stand up for the rights that God promised to those that believe in him and do his will. We must return prayer to not only our schools but, to the government offices, in our homes, on the street, with each other and even when we are by ourselves.
We must put an end to the senseless slaughter of unborn babies. Abortion surely had to be derived from the word, abomination. Those that are Christians and still believe that abortion is alright as long as it is their body, should study to see that our body does not belong to us. That it is not our body to do with as we please. Then if you are still not convinced, you should re-think your Christianity.
When we as a nation get down on our knees and pray to God in the name of Jesus Christ, then we may see a turn around in the way things are happening. Until that day comes, we can expect the best that things will be in our country is the day we are living today. Yes, today is about as good as it is going to get.
