The Dong is the currency of Vietnam. In 1966 the exchange rate was approximately 42 Dong to one U.S. dollar. Pictured above is the smallest bill, one Dong, that was in circulation at the time.

Since the communist take-over the Dong has been devalued to the point that in 1997 the exchange rate was 1400 Dong to one U.S. dollar and the smallest denomination is the 200 Dong bill which is shown below.
