Hello there, I hope you have enjoyed my web page. On this page you'll find out a bit about the website creator & designer! Just click on the below links to learn more about myself! Be sure to wait for the Java Applet programs to launch to see the photo album on this page..
My name is Helki Soraya Weber, I was born and raised in beautiful Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. Here I am pursuing a career in the Hospitality Industry, studying Hotel/Restaurant Management. My two goals in life are to publish a book of poems and to become a successful business manager. I enjoy many things, some of my hobbies include, swimming, rollerblading, writing, arts, dancing, horseback riding and working out.
I am an only child, so it can be quite boring at times. It is sometimes hard to keep my mind occupied on one thing, as I constantly feel the need to do something different all the time, forgetting about other matters.
I was born on December 17, 1980. A few things to know about me:
I like to help out in my community. I was currently volunteering at "The Humane Society of the Cayman Islands" It was too hard for me to bear with the loss of the animals, so I decided not to continue there, it was too disheartening for me to cope with.
My favourite colour is Purple. It symbolises elegance and nobility.
My favourite music comes in a variety of forms, from Rock 'n' roll and pop to Latin salsa and Italian ballads.
I have a weakness for chocolates *smile*
I stand at only 5'6 inches tall and at 112 lbs.
My favourite animals are wolves, cats, dogs, pandas, horses, foxes and tigers/lions. Pretty much all.
My friends call me Keke, Kekele, Mucki, Baby doll, Caribbean Pearl, Diamond Eyes, Princess and Makanani (Hawaiian for Beautiful Eyes) Allot of nicknames as you can plainly see.
I enjoy dancing, whether it be Salsa, Lambada, Belly Dances or Ballroom dances I will be out there on the dance floor! Though I have never been to a dance school or been taught I love how one can express ones feelings through a few lovely steps.
Travelling is another thing I enjoy, there's the whole world to explore.
I entered two pageants for "Miss Cinderella" when I was 10 and 11. I got third runner up and participated in Miami, and then the following year won first runner up and talent winner with a trip to Oklahoma where I won a cash prize. Yes I am proud of this. In 1997 I did a Fashion Show here in Cayman.
Orchids, Tulips and Gardenias are my favourite flowers, along with roses. I am fond of exotic flora.
Football (soccer), swimming, and gymnastics are my most liked sports. However lately I have taken a liking to hockey and rugby.
I have had a fascination for languages and other cultures. I have fallen in love with the Native American culture, history, language and crafts. I love mostly all languages but only speak English and Spanish. I would love to learn French, it has a soft flowing dialect and nonetheless the language of romance.
Well this is the inside scope! Or at least part of it.
As I have mentioned in the above sentence, I live on an Island called Grand Cayman. If you have never heard of it before, it is between Cuba and Jamaica, just a tiny speck on the map. There are 3 sister Islands that make up the Caymans, Grand Cayman, being the largest, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman, being the smallest, hence the name. Living here are the locals whom are referred to as Caymanians then there are Jamaicans, Cubans, Canadians, Italians, French, Germans, Austrians and many other nationalities that reside here. There are also plenty English and American.
The Cayman Islands are dependent on the U.K. therefore we are of British Crown Colony!! And we have very close ties with them, (off course it wouldn't be a good idea to become independent)
The Cayman Islands are the fifth in the world in the banking economy, and are the richest Island in the Caribbean! Also Cayman is rated one of the best dive sites in the world too.

Well you've heard of a bit about me, now how about a little paragraph about my family....My mother and father.
My handsome father, Mr. Ottmar Weber was born in Dortmund, Germany. He travelled to many places before resting upon his final destination, Grand Cayman. Ottmar is a renowned chef and has been very successful with opening very elegant and beautiful restaurants here. I believe being successful runs in the genes, as my father's father was also a very successful owner of a construction company in Germany. Now my father is the owner/manager of a "famous" restaurant called "Ottmar's Restaurant"... Yes that's right, it's named after him.
My beautiful mother, Mrs. Sandra Maria Weber was born in Baracoa, Cuba, and left the country at a tender age of 10 to come to sunny Cayman. Here her father worked in a large company. My mother met my father here and it was from then on that they fell in love and as luck would have it, gave birth to a healthy baby girl.
They celebrate their anniversary September 2.
There is so much more to write on my both of parents but not enough time or space, so I'll leave it as is.
I have included a few pictures of my family, my friend and myself To see enlarged photo (recommended), click on picture... Enjoy... (warning:!! Java started) Please email me at helkisor@candw.ky if this program does not start..
