Personality

Attitude:

When creating a character, whether Male or Female it is a good idea to have a past in mind, or history. Often a characters personality is a product of thier past. For example we'll use Chrystiker. In his past he was abused by his adopted father physically and mentally. He was left to fend for himself against his father blind rage by his adopted brothers as well. As a result he's very suspitious of other cats and very cautious. He had no friends cause he was always home with his father so his social skills aren't that great and he's very shy.

There are also character like Rocker, Rocker is a white version of Tugger. He's very outgoing cause in the past he always had lots of friends and is a product of living on the streets. He and Alonzo are good friends cause they have similar backgrounds. He's rough around the edges but a nice guy.

Then you have people like Armand. Evil to the core... so you'd think but no one's completely evil. Though this cat loves death and torture it is because when he was younger he went with the wrong crowd. He refused to kill so his "friends" killed his love. From now on he kills not only trying to make up for that time he refused but in hopes of killing the cats who killed his love and thier entire family.

So when it comes to personalities, know your character in and out before you start Rping. It's really hard to get to know your cat when no one can figure out him/her cause he reacts to the same type of things different ways. Unless of course you mean them to be that way.

QUIRKS

It's always interesting to give them some sort of personality quirks too. It's great fun and makes for a more interesting character.

Again I'll use Armand as an example, due to his love's death he was forced to grow up much quicker than the average kitty he was still stuck in the phase of a kitten so he viewed everything as fun and games and still does to this day. He takes little serious.

I also have Mezmer. Mezmer has this piece of fur that CONSTANTLY falls in his eyes no matter what he does. It's not something huge but it's cute.

Also disorders or diseases are interesting. Chalyda a character of mine has Down syndrome (she's a kitt) and another character Tritan is Autistic.

All this helps make RPing with your character much funner for you and who you're rping with.
