H. G. Lewis pretty much invented the slasher/gore movie. Before this VideoMonkey was even born, H. G. Lewis was making explotative drive-in fare features, which were at the time, the goriest movies around. And his secret to realistic gore effects, why it was to use REAL guts.
By todays standards, sure his movies look amateurish and corny, but in my books they are classics and they paved the way.
