Writers use definitions to establish boundaries, to show the essential nature of something, and to explain the special qualities that identify a purpose, place, object, or concept and distinguish it from others similar to it.

Choose a term that interests you- sportsmanshipo, good taste, friendship, love, success, freedom, and define that term with examples and anecdotes.
Perhaps you could argue from your definiton by getting your audience to agree with of approve of something by defining it positively (for example, a good education) or to criticize something by defining it negatively (for example, a bad grading policy).
