Lady Tatiana Amalthia Achiad Leannan Si' Dochas Sieaghdear
Cunnartach Banrigh Donnachaidh.
Many of you might be wondering where I got such a long and unpronounceable name. Here's the story:
Tatiana: The summer before my junior year of high school, 1994, I was selected to participate in a program called Florida Girls State. I packed up my bags and spent a week (including my birthday) at Florida State University, learning all about government and trying not to be bored to death. I enjoyed myself much more than I thought I would, and I made a lifelong friend. Her middle name is Tatiana, and I was so taken by it that when I started chatting I picked this name for my first roleplaying persona. I have been Lady Tatiana ever since, and Tatiana is still my favorite persona to slip into.
Amalthia: In 1996 I was trying to flesh out some of my chat personas, and needed a full name for Tatiana. By then I had already latched onto Donachaide, and I saw the name Amalthia somewhere, and it just fit.
Achiad: Around the same time that I was trying to flesh out Tatiana's personality and background, there was in the Chathouse on the East Wing a room called the Castle, and in the Castle there was a semi-formal group of people called the Castle family (made up of most of the Castle regulars). Diorchas, one of the members of the family, knew Gaelic, and when I was officially adopted into the family, I asked him for a Gaelic name to symbolize my adoption. The idea was fairly popular, and although I was not the first to come up with it, he named me Achiad (Gaelic for first he said) because I was the first to receive a Gaelic bloodname.
Leannan Si': In the period of time that I was waiting for my bloodname to be chosen, my husband suggested a Gaelic name for me of his own. According to Aegis, Leannan Si' means fairy lover (and I do so very much LOVE fairies) and I began using that name as well.
Dochas Sieaghdear: Long before bloodnames came into usage, and well before the breakup of the old Castle gang, fighting in the Castle became a problem, both play fighting and actual arguments between chatters. Many people have grouped together to try to put a stop to such fighting, one of the first groups was the Warriors of the Light. Members of the WotL include my net-brother, Equinoxx, and very good net-friend of mine, Kaige. Initiation into the Warriors includes a solemn ceremony involving Goober Panties/Boxers, the reciept of a cool pin, and permission to use the name Dochas Sieaghdear. (Only 3 to go. Are you curious about Donachaide yet?)
Cunnartach Banrigh: When bloodnames were given out by Diorchas, Esmerelda (my net mom) and Eclipse were both dubbed Cunnartach Banrigh. Cunnartach means warrior, and Banrigh means queen. These two women definitely are warrior queens, and two of the strongest women I have ever met. There are many who took on the Cunnartach Banrigh name, and it is a proud name that many carry. I claim this name as an adoption right through my mother, Esmerelda, as well as my sister, Eclipse.
Donnachaidh: Some of you are thinking "Finally. Who knew it would take this long?" Well, this one is from my husband, Aegis. It is the clan he belongs to in real life. I loved this name from the first, almost as much as I love him. And it fit so well with Tatiana that I have been using it for as long as I could get away with it (as in, since we started talking marriage).
