Frank Reaves, Jr. is Trey's father and he was a wonderful man. He was my best friend, my hero, and my biggest supporter. He had expereienced law school, and had been a lawyer. He was one of the brightest and best people I know. Unfortunately Liver cancer stole him from our lives and since then nothing has been the same. Frank was diagnosed in July of 2002, and passed away in December 2002. In those short six months, I was unlucky enough to witness the agony and frustration of an incurable disease. It is why I think so much money is misdirected to AIDS research, when prevention is key. You CANNOT PREVENT cancer, because no one knows what causes it. And Frank did not deserve the indignity of the hand he was dealt. God is cruel and heartless if that is his idea of justice. Frank was a helper, but unfortunately those who were in the position to help him chose not to. And because of his lack of health insurance the doctors did a piss poor job of being doctors.
