Miaka's
friend, Yui, has to go to the library to return a book.
Miaka goes with her. In the library, when Miaka goes to buy juice, she sees an apparition of a red bird fly up a flight of stairs. She follows it, and goes into the Important Documents Reference Room. Yui follows her there. |
| The girls find a book entitled, 'The Book of Four Gods' Sky and Earth', an ancient Chinese novel. Yui-chan starts to read it. Suddenly, the girls are surrounded by a red glow. |  |

When they
awaken, they are in a barren landscape. Yui and Miaka are
shocked (though Miaka starts to worry about food). And so this is the beginning of our story... |
