Strange and beautiful art
Last updated: 1997-11-05
Finally I can present some of my own artwork
in addition to the link list. Just don't expect professional level
works. Here is a page of experimental photos.
Some favourites
Victor Vasarely, whose big works in the Fondation
Vasarely in Aix-en-Provence can send me into a trance. Unfortunately
I couldn't find a single good web page about him.
Arnold Böcklin, whose
Toteninsel I have
finally managed to scan and put up for your enjoyment.
Something I did manage to find was a good page with
pre-raphaelite
images.
I also found a decent
Van Gogh
page.
There is also plenty of information on the
italian renaissance.
(Although it's even better to go to
gli Uffizi and see for
yourself).
And here's a plenty good page about
Piranesi.
I have read that there is a complete series of Carceri d'Invenzione
prints at the National Museum here in Stockholm, but they aren't on
display :-(.
This
Caspar David Friedrich
page is also good, even though I miss a picture link with one of the
monastery ruins in snow paintings. So you can see one of those
here.
Check out Mars Tokyo's awesome painted storybook.
