Alain is a terribly stubborn man, there is no opposing that. But this stubbornness is not of the unhealthy kind, because he is willing to let go when someone shows him that he is wrong.
He has a good heart and he is very protective about his family and about his friends. He would do anything for the ones he loves, even die for them. He almost loses all the will to live when his sister Diana dies and he also tries to protect Oscar from the bullets at the taking of Bastille. But he is not only willing to die for people, he would also die for his ideals, for he is a man of ideals. Though he mostly handles rationally he is also very enthusiastic when it comes to his ideals of society.
As a soldier, he is fair and brave. Actually, he is the born leader,
he is decisive and his fellow soldiers are always willing to follow him.
He is not really like them, for he used to be a man of rank and that is
what often makes him seem different.
