WINTER SURVIVAL
"Calories and Taste may come together"

1/2 Kgs beef meat, preferably soft and not greasy, in small cubes-like pieces

1/2 Kgs potatoes, in similar pieces as meat

2 spoonfuls olive oil

Half an onion, 2 garlic cloves, 1 carrot all in tiny pieces

Salt, thyme, a glass of wine, a glass of water and a bit of either soya or worcestershire sauce
NARRATIVE

Put the pot with the oil to the soft fire. Then introduce the onion, garlic and carrot mixture until it gets transparent.

Introduce the meat and potatoes and fry for 5 minutes (moving carefully with a spoon).

Introduce the rest of the ingredients (water enough to cover) and increase the fire. When it nearly boils, decrease the fire and allow it to cook for 3/4 to 1 hour depending on fire.
TIPS: Watch often the liquid level and add water as needed. Move always carefully not to get a mess.
