I never thought a web site such as this existed. I cannot even begin to tell you how overjoyed I am. At the same time I am also depressed by this discovery of mine. The Circassions in my area (New Jersey)are not what anyone would describe as following the customs, traditions, and overall ways of life. The association we have formed many years ago is now falling apart. The people in charge of running the CBA (Cirsassion Benevolent Association) are money and power hungry. There are many arguements and fights going on that threaten the positive Circassion influence that we all have worked so hard for to instill into the non-Circassion community in which we live. Those in charge are doing nothing to save our cause, rather it is the members og which the reside over that are fighting to save it and return the CBA to moral and emotional it once was in. Pardon me for my rambling on about this subject however, I just needed to vent out my thoughts and frustrations to someone would hopefully understands. What a nice surprise to see a Circassian page! Why not- we should have more. I just came back from a visit to the Caucasus, first time! It was an amazing experience. The beauty of the land as described by our ancestors and those who have seen it and w itten about is truly there, not an exageration. The beauty of the people in Maikop and Naltchek was also overwhelming. I would love to go again. Keep up the good work.

I feel pride for my Circassian nation when I see sites like this one in the Internet. I feel pride when I see Circassian artists (like Michael Shemiakin - Kardanov and Ruslan Tsrimov), musicians (like Yuri Temirkanov), physicists (like Muradin Kumahov) an many other people who are known worldwide. I almost shiver from pride for my people when I watch "Kabardinka" Folk Dancing Group perform "Wark Kafa" - the noble dance of the Kabardey knighthood. When I start thinking, I understand that our culture is a v ry important part of the human cosmos and it belongs not to us only but to all Humanity. I believe the task of the present generation of the Circassian nation is to preserve and propagand our culture, making its transition into the modern world as smooth nd safe as possible. If we fail to do this - our beautiful nation will fade into nonexistence. I feel that we lack communication, education and above all - unity. A nation that has no unity within will inevitably disappear. If you have similar thoughts that you would like to share and any suggestions to make, please, write. We can do much good. This was a nice job Janti.I'm still remembering your support and the rest of the guies last year in the faculty of pharmacy where we surveid Circassian food and presented some of our facinating dancing ,it was marvelous how people there were excited and d manded more.I hope that the idea of presenting a side of Circassian Folk will be extended to other educational institutions by motivated Circassian guies like you.God bless you and all Circassians.
