MORTAKY'S FLAG PAGE!
Greetings! Here you will see all the flags used by NASCAR and what they mean. This may be helpful to some newcomers to this wonderful sport.
SOLID GREEN FLAGThis flag is waved to start a race!
SOLID YELLOW FLAGThis flag denotes caution. All cars slow behind pace car!
SOLID BLACK FLAGWhen this flag is waved at a car he must go to the pits within 3 laps. Laps do not count if not obeyed!
BLUE WITH YELLOW STRIPEThis one is goofy! It is to tell slower cars to move over and let the faster cars go by. I thought this was racing!
SOLID RED FLAGThis one means stop. There is bad weather or some other unsafe condition on track!
YELLOW WITH TWO RED STRIPESThis one means there is oil on track!
SOLID WHITE FLAGThis one means one lap to go!
CHECKERD FLAGThis one means race is finished. This is the one Ernie wants to see before the other drivers!
I hope these discriptions of the flags has helped. Some of them are not used that often, but next time they are you will have an idea of what is going on! Thanks for stopping by.
